St. Patrick's Day DUI Checkpoints Announced

The Kansas City Missouri Police Department has announced that they will conduct at least two DUI Checkpoints this week to coincide with the St. Patrick's Day Holiday and festivities in Kansas City. They did not announce the locations or times, but last year a DUI Checkpoint in Westport netted more than thirty
DUI arrests on St. Patrick's Day. See my
earlier post about DUI Checkpoints in Kansas City, Missouri.
In addition, KCPD this week introduced a new $400,00.00 vehicle that will allow police to administer mutiple breath tests and process several DUI arrests at one time.
Law Enforcement on both sides of the State Line will be ramping up efforts to enforce DUI laws this weekend. It is not a coincidence that Kansas City is putting a nearly half-million dollar mobile command DUI enforcement vehicle into operation this week.
